In July, August, and September 2011....

  • God once again used The Oaks' summer camps to change MANY lives!
  • We had an awesome group of summer staff who set a high standard and served sacrificially.
  • The Oaks celebrated 25 years of ministry!
  • The Andrews Family, from our home church in Winona Lake, Indiana, spent a week volunteering and serving their hearts out! It was so fun to have all five of them here.
  • We added another LIT (Leader in Training) to our adopted family: Shelley!
  • We had tons of fun with our adopted LIT's this summer. Our two oldest daughters, Tatiana and Victoria, graduated from the program after working hard for three years. We're sad to see them leave, but excited to see how God will use them. Micah still talks about how much he loves "Tati, Shelley, and 'Toria!"
  • After the summer, we spent ten days in Washington visiting Jared's family...being away from camp and with family encouraged our hearts and blessed us beyond measure!
  • Several weekends of family camps were held at The Oaks in August and September...allowing more urban families the chance to get away and spend family time together.
  • We spent a week at the beach for our own family retreat.
  • Micah turned three and is now officially a "big boy."
